• Here is a shot of the facia line up at Cumbres. Notice how I am handling the switches. If one throw is directly above the switch I went down 5.5". If two were in the same area, I would go 3.5" and 6" from the top of the layout.

To mount these in place I will use silicon so that they are removable if need be.
• View from the middle of the layout, dividing both sections - the Cumbres section and the Maysville section.
• The Monarch level is installed and ready to have Micore put down.
• The other side of Monarch. I was really worried about how close the Cumbres level would be with the upper level, but it looks like it will work out OK.
• A full view of the Cumbres Peninsula. The small table hiding under turn is a great idea Bill Beranek gave me for additional staging at Chama. Just pull it out and hook it up to the end of Chama .... and wallah...more track :)
• OK...why is there a stock car at the warehouse???
• Jump ahead (OK...wayyyyy ahead) and trackwork is done on the Cumbres Peninsula. I have even had a little time to work on some switch routines in this area.

Where the camera is will be where the Highway 17 bridge will go in.
• Another view of the Cumbres area.
• The first run up by a Blackstone K-27.
• The up hill grade towards Cumbres. Can you hear the K-36's plowing up the hill?
• Track work has been completed and tested for the uphill grade. 8 cars plus a caboose seem to handle this grade just fine.
• My Dad helps layout the Cumbres area. Yes..he is the man that started me on my journey in to Model Railroading. Thanks Dad! :)
• Dad and I get ready to cut the large section of wood that will house most of Cumbres.
