First Base of Ground Cover
Just like stated in the "Starting Scenery" area, I used as much material as I could for the base layer. This included grounded up dirt (from the area I am modeling), saw dust, fine ground foam, small rocks, and anything else that might add to depth in the scene.
You also note the parchment paper. This was done to protect my backdrop when spraying IPA to anchor the soil in place with my 50/50 Matte Medium / Water mixture.
